A long itinerary which crosses the most majestic glacier in Italy in a very exciting context, between granite pyramids and endless expanses of perennial ice.

Technical description

From Val Genova we climb up to the Mandrone hut, from which we take the ascent route to the Loggia Alta hut (3050m). On this day we will see some progression techniques on glacial terrain and mixed rock ice (easy) with crampons on our feet, the ligatures and methods of belaying and self-belaying on the glacier. Overnight in the hut.
From the Loggia Alta hut we descend onto the Adamello glacier which we follow up to the large glacial basin of the Piano di Neve at about 3200 meters above sea level. From here, bypassing the Corno Bianco both climbs to the base of the rocky ridge near Monte Falcone, along the west ridge (easy climbing passages) we quickly reach the summit.
Descent along the standard route and return along the Pian di Neve and Mandrone glacier to the base of the glacier, then return to Val Genova in the evening. (Possibility to stop for the night at Mandrone hut).
