WHERE WE ARE
The Val di Sole Valley
The Val di Sole valley lies in the western part of the Trentino region. It is surrounded by ranges of mountains which rise over 3.000 meters of altitude: there is the Brenta range in the South, the Ortles-Cevedale range in the North and the Adamello-Presanella in the West. The northern part of the valley's territory lies into the Stelvio National Park, while the southern part lies into the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.
Nature is at its best, here. The valley offers endless possibilities of walking tours for the beginners and countless choices of altitude-trails for the experts, who can be lead by the Mountain Guides.
All the villages are at the bottom of the valley, along the Noce river: there in the summertime you can practise canoe-kayak, rafting and hydrospeed.
In the winter the valley offers 290 km of downhill pistes for skiing and snowboarding, served by 115 very capable ski lifts and funiculars. Snow-making provides more than one million square meters of skiing surface. Numerous ski-instructors are ready to help who wants to improve their technique, being them beginner or experts.
Furthermore, for the ones who do not practise downhill skiing, there are many cross-country skiing pistes, endless trails for ski-mountaineering, snowshoe paths, ice-skating rinks and anything you can ask for a fulfilling and active vacation.
