At Passo del Tonale, on the North-NW face of the Monticelli, numerous climbing routes on mixed rock and ice have been recently equipped.
Being able to approach the lines and return from the same route, about twenty minutes from the top station of Passo Paradiso cable car, and the quality of the granite, immediately made them little gems of the area, enjoyable and ideal for approaching this type of activity in couloirs and mixed terrain on the north face.
Among the climbs proposed, the classic and most repeated are:
Mafia Bianca – 200m 70° M4+ (Francesco Salvaterra, Alessio Tait, Rossana Tomasi 25/11/2018).
Connessione Korra – 280m 50° M4 (Christopher Righi and Francesco Salvaterra 30/12/2021).
Technical description
Winter-style, mixed (rock and ice) climbs suitable for those who already practice mountaineering and climbing
Equipment
- basic mountaineering equipment
- helmet
- harness
- double ice axe and crampons (eventually provided by the guide, on request, and included in the price)
- suitable clothes for a high mountain environment.

The ascent will be carried out with a maximum of two participants.
Prices:
1 participant: 300 euros; 2 participants: 180 euros per person.
The return ticket for the cable car (from Passo Paradiso) is not included in the price.
